Kismet Café was established in 2014, the culmination of a desire to be community business owners with the hope of creating yet another new chapter in the love story of Lana and Dana Ferraris. Lana worked in the hospitality industry for many years managing restaurants before she took 15 years off to stay home and raise her two boys, Vince and Max. When Lana decided to reenter the hospitality field, it was not long after she started working at Zi Pani in Eldersburg that the Ferraris’ realized their dream of becoming business owners. The timing was right (Kismet), they bought Zi Pani and immediately began the mission of transforming the shop into a place where they could “feed Eldersburg like they feed their own family.” There was no question when it came to choosing a name for their new café….Lana and Dana’s love story began with a chance meeting, and now their lives literally revolve around their second home, Kismet!
